The Glory House for Women, Inc. is a faith-based transitional housing and re-entry program rooted in compassion, purpose, and transformation. The organization was founded in February 2025 by Dr. Heather Bonds, a retired Correctional Principal who received a divine calling to serve justice-involved women. With firsthand experience of the struggles faced by incarcerated individuals, Dr. Bonds envisioned a place where women could find healing, support, and true transformation after release.
The Glory House for Women, Inc. exists to break the cycle of recidivism by addressing the root causes of re-entry failure—offering stable housing, mentorship, recovery support, and opportunities for personal growth. We, together with our community partners, walk alongside justice-involved women as they rebuild their lives, offering not just shelter but opportunities for healing, empowerment, and a path to self-sufficiency. Our programs empower women to rebuild their lives, equipping them with the skills needed to reintegrate into their families and communities. Through transitional housing, faith-based guidance, personal development, and mentorship, we empower women to grow in confidence, gain independence, and re-enter society with purpose and dignity.
We create a safe, supportive and transformational environment for justice-involved women by providing the programs, tools, resources and compassion they need to rebuild their lives.
The Glory House welcomes justice-involved women, including those preparing for release and those who have recently been released. While some programs focus solely on substance recovery, we support women from all backgrounds, whether or not addiction is part of their journey, as long as they're committed to personal growth and positive reintegration into the community.
We offer transitional housing, mental health support, substance abuse classes, mentorship, legal aid, job readiness training, parenting education, and more. Each program is designed to meet the unique needs of women transitioning from incarceration, helping them heal emotionally, grow spiritually, and build the skills needed for long-term stability and self-sufficiency.
Program length varies based on individual needs, progress, and readiness. On average, women stay between 6 and 12 months. Our goal is to provide sufficient time and support for women to develop the tools, confidence, and structure necessary to succeed independently and thrive in the broader community after they graduate.
No, we focus on meeting each woman where she is in her journey. Our foundation is Christian and faith plays a central role in our philosophy. As a part of our mission to nurture the whole person, all participants join in faith-based activities that inspire reflection, offer an opportunity for spiritual growth, and build community.
Unlike many re-entry programs, we provide both pre- and post-release support and do not limit participation to women recovering from addiction. We offer a broader focus that includes emotional healing, life skills, spiritual growth, and family reunification—creating a truly holistic path toward rebuilding a life with dignity and hope. In addition, we provide services and support to justice-involved women who do not need transitional housing.
You can support us through volunteering, financial donations, prayer, or offering services such as job placements or educational workshops. Every act of kindness helps us provide the safe space, stability, and support needed for women to transform their lives and make a lasting, positive impact on their communities.
